Understanding the Concise Definition of Skin Care

By: Mayra Nunez

What is skin and how should we protect it?

The skin is a natural protective body covering. It is the maximal organ of the integumentary system prefab up of multiple layers of ectodermal tissue. The skin types can rate from fuzzy to nonhairy (fingers, tips, lips, soles of feet) oily to dry.

Oily Skin
Oily skin is due to the over-active sebaceous glands, producing an essence called sebum, with sudor it moistens and protects the skin. When the skin produces profuse sebum, it becomes dense and thick in texture making the skin oily and it can commence to have bad odor when broken down by bacteria outside the body. Oily complexions are especially hypersensitive to clogged pores, blackheads, and buildup of lifeless skin cells on the skin. The goal of treating oily skin is to take off the immoderate surface sebum without total separation of skin lipids. A great way of purifying oily skin is to cleanse with a face cleanser formulated especially for oily skin. The cleansers pH should be 4.5 - 5.5, since the skin's pH value is approximately 5.4. The toning application should be similar, and should help balance and hydrate oily skin. There are many ways to maintain oily skin in check

• Cleansing the face
• Avoid oil supported products
• Don't ever lay down with your Makeup on
• Keep stress to a short
• Drink alot of liquids

Dry Skin
Dry skin has a low degree of sebum and can encourage a wild inclination to sensitivity. The skin might look tight and achy. It might appear dull or red or tender after cleansing due to its inability to keep wetness. Unless some type of moisturizer or skin lotion is applied. Chapping and cracking are signs of extremely dry, not well preserved skin, and it can cause fine lines and wrinkles. These factors may promote to dry skin. Just to analyze a few:

• Skin gets disclosed to natural elements
especially in the winter.
• Poor diet. Nutritional deficiencies, especially deficiencies of
vitamins A and B.
• Environmental factors specified as exposure to . the wind, sun, too much bathing using a
cleanser that's not adequate for the skin, chemicals, or
cosmetics.
• Conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, eruption,
psoriasis, or seborrhea.

Appropriate skin hygiene is crucial because unclean skin favors the maturation of pathogenic organisms. The dead cells that continually slough off the epidermis mix with the secretions of the sweat and sebaceous glands and the debris found on the skin give the appearance of a nasty layer on its surface. It becomes more easily damaged, and more towards to acquire infections.

Cosmetics should be used carefully on the skin because these may create allergic reactions. The skin can soak up the toxins and chemicals of unsafe products. Each season requires suitable clothing as to each skin requires the correct cosmetics. That said don't go around thinking that any skin care product is the right one. Be clever, be cautious, personally consider the ingredients, pay attention to the reviews, and make sure it's the adequate product for your skin type.
