The things they do not reveal is that tummy fat isn't only unappealing, it is really risky for your well-being.

Several studies have observed a link connecting abdominal flab and blood pressure levels, high cholesterol levels, heart problems, and diabetes. Measure your waist to see if you have a unhealthy level of stomach fat. For optimal well being, men must have a waist circumference under 40 inches. Women needs to have a midsection circumference less than 35 inches.

Move Far more, Consume Right

Would you have thought that you could get a firm waist while you relax? It's possible with the help of yoga. Yoga has a two-fold effect on our bellies. First, it reduces high stress levels that lead to weight gain. Stress-induced weight gain often results in excess tummy fat. Reducing your stress level can give you a flatter belly and lower your risk for many diseases.

Yoga exercise also tones the tummy muscles.

Look for a yoga exercise that includes supine poses and other postures that work the abdominal muscles. Check out a yoga DVD from your local library, or look for free video tutorials online.
