Juding A Network Marketing Opportunity – 6 Things to Consider

Network marketing is serious business and serious money is made by those individuals that treat their network marketing opportunity as a real business! So, with that being said, before diving into the very first network marketing opportunity that presents itself to you, make sure you ask yourself these sex important questions:

1) How Much Money Will I Need?

Your network marketing opportunity can cost you anywhere from one dollar to a few thousand dollars. I bet if they cost more it would cause people to put more of their heart into their network marketing oppurtunity. The beauty of network marketing though is that it takes very little capital to start which allows anyone to really make it big if they do the work.

In relation to a franchise, which my first one cost me $142,000 to open, it is pennies on the dollar to get started. I am glad I do not own it anymore. My current network marketing opportunity cost me $1,500, one-hundredth of the franchise cost. At the end of the day, you always need some money to start a business, but the reality is, it does not make any sense not to invest and try out a network marketing opportunity.

2) How Am I Going To Get Paid?

When looking at the network marketing opportunity you are interested in, understanding the compensation plan is a must. You want to understand what you get paid for and how much you get paid. Then put into action these things which make you them most money now and in the long run. Your sponsor should have the answers to your most pressing questions about how your network marketing opportunity pays the distributors.

Your income will start out small, but with time, it will grow. Do not even ask what your sponsor makes because it has absolutely nothing to do with what you will make. The big question is, how much could I be making ten years from now? The only path to success is to stick with your network marketing opportunity and DO NOT give up.

3) Will You Learn From the Training?

Nothing wrong with an exciting group of networkers, but does the training get your ready to go to work. If there are meeting in your town, you should be there. These other networkers can teach you all kinds of things about building your business. Does your network marketing opportunity lay out a easy to follow process that is easy to duplicate? It is all about the training, your personal development, and most importantly developing you as a leader so you can duplicate the process.

4) Is The Product Something You Would Be Comfortable Promoting?

When you are excited about your network marketing opportunity and the products, your passion is contagious. BUT, beyond passion, does the product do what it says it will? Sure, testimonials are wonderful, but are the products claims backed by scientific evidence as well? Consider the ways in which you will promote your products and get ides from your sponsor and other networkers.

5) How Many Years Has The Company Been Around?

This is HUGE! The first network marketing opportunity I joined went out of business just as my pay peaked. I was discourage from seeking out another network marketing opportunity because of this. I did not check out the company, I just jumped in! My current opportunity has been in business over 20 years. You need a sturdy company. A stable publicly traded company that must report to shareholders is a great foundation for the hard work you will put into your business.

In the same way I interview those I want to sponsor, you should interview your sponsor and the company being represented. You want your network marketing opportunity to be around in the future to insure that you receive your residual income while alive and your heirs when you are gone.

6) Can You Sponsor Lead And Teach You?

Is your sponsor someone who will help you become the leader you need to be? You want the person that introduced you to your network marketing opportunity to be someone you both respect as a person and admire as a leader. This person is really your business partner and you will initially spend a lot of time with them learning how to lead and duplicate the process.

To sum things up, if you treat your network marketing opportunity like it is serious business, choose a great leader to emulate, pick a reputable company with a great compensation plan, and are willing to put in the time and effort to grow, you will succeed. Do not quit. Many out there will say not to your network marketing oppotunity as they cannot dream big like you. Treat your network marketing opportunity like the serious business it is, have fun, develop a great positive attitude, and the success will come.
