When this occurs, they often isolate themselves from their familiar social life which tends to make matters worse and is one of the numerous reasons why depression among men can be hard to determine.

Even though there are many treatments and medications easily available to aid men with recovering from depression, it's frequently quite difficult to encourage them to ask for such medication or even just to see a physician. This is when their depression worsens.
