An Exciting Weekend Break In The Beautiful Lake District

My boyfriend has had a tough time at work recently. His bosses have been putting on the pressure by setting him impossible deadlines. When he returns home, he is so exhausted all he wants to do is flop in a chair and go to sleep. It is not an ideal situation for either of us and at the moment, I just can’t see things changing.

Unfortunately many couples like us are experiencing hectic working lifestyles. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day, especially precious time for each other. This can be detrimental to relationships and sometimes even result in couples going their separate ways.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love my boyfriend so much. His birthday is in a couple of weeks and I have been thinking about organising a surprise weekend away together. This would be good for both of us, a weekend free from work and time to relax.

What attracted us to each other was that we both love outdoor life. On the rare occasion we do have some free time, the car is out of the garage and off we go into the countryside. There is something different about enjoying a hearty meal and a refreshing drink in a good old-fashioned country pub. We used to go for long rambles and enjoy picnics while watching the wild life.

Many years ago I had been on a school trip to the Lake District and was absolutely bowled over by the lakes, mountains, small villages and beautiful scenery. In fact I still have photographs of this wonderful time, it brings back many happy memories. With this in mind, I decided to book a surprise weekend break to the Lake District with my boyfriend.

Websites seemed the obvious place to look, such a superb choice of hotels. I was searching for a hotel with a warm atmosphere, comfortable rooms and a place just to chill out. It had to suit us both and be ideally situated so we could venture out into the wonderful area of the Lake District. I quickly found a hotel with all the amenities and facilities we were after.

To my relief my boyfriend was very excited about his birthday surprise. We were both eager to hop into the car and begin our journey to our accommodation in the Lakes. It was a fabulous weekend. The hotel lived up to its expectations, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and a wonderful place to spend some time together. Even the weather was perfect, making it a great opportunity to spend time outdoors in the beautiful countryside. Our weekend was full of fun and laughter, just what we needed.

To anyone who is in the same predicament that we were in, then I thoroughly recommend a weekend break in the Lake District. Stay in a fabulous and relaxing hotel - it worked for us!
